Looking back at the SLOVLOG 2024 conference
At the end of November we attended the 17th SLOVLOG conference, one of the most important logistics events in Slovakia. This annual event attracts logistics, supply chain and technology experts to share their experience, innovation and inspiration.
Our sales team represented us at the conference. Our paper titled Logistics automation under the tact of an integration platform, presented by Jan Turoň from eD system and Bohumil Tejnický, attracted great interest. Our speakers presented a groundbreaking project of automation of the eD system logistics centre, which was implemented within 14 months, without interruption of the warehouse operation.
The project included:
- Implementation of 16 vertical stackers,
- Installation of a fully automated conveyor line with four Pick-to-Light zones,
- Integration of all systems using the WCS VertiNode AI platform.
The result was not only an optimization of picking processes, but also a significant increase in warehouse capacity and overall efficiency of logistics operations. You can recap the entire project with our video at the end of the article.
