Application Support Specialist
An Application Support Specialist is a person who has a close eye on the workings of the software we develop, as well as the colleagues who do the development. He is the sheriff who, for our customers and based on their suggestions, keeps order in the functioning of the application at the places where it runs.
Your job description
- Monitoring our application helpdesk portal
- Responding to incoming requests
- Analyzing requests, resolving them or delegating them to other colleagues if necessary
- Managing and developing the knowledge base for our customers
- Monitoring of services that monitor the running of the application for customers
- Testing new functionalities of our application
- Participating in team meetings
- Traveling to customers and conducting training sessions over time
What you should know
- Advanced knowledge of MS Windows, MS Office
- At least basic knowledge of working with Linux
- Knowledge of databases at a basic query and concept level (SQL)
- Awareness of network technologies (What is IP, routing, firewall, network sniffing)
- Communication skills, good speaking skills
- Organizational skills, analytical thinking
- Advanced English language skills (B2 - we have customers in the UK and beyond)
- Independence and diligence
